Our approach

We keep cookies to a minimum. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertising networks. You can browse the website and the Apps Marketplace without any cookies being set, unless you sign in.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Our host and security layer may set cookies required to serve pages, balance load and protect against abuse. These cannot be switched off.

Signing in

These cookies are set only when you sign in, register or reset your password. They are needed for those features to work.

• wordpress_test_cookie checks that your browser accepts cookies before you sign in. It lasts until you close your browser.
• wordpress_logged_in_… and wordpress_sec_… keep you signed in. They last until you close your browser, or 14 days if you tick “Remember me”.
• _lscache_vary tells our page cache whether you are signed in, so you are never shown a page saved for someone else. It lasts as long as your sign-in (up to 2 days, or 14 days with “Remember me”); after you sign out it is reset and expires within 2 days.
• wp-resetpass-… carries you through choosing a new password. It lasts until you close your browser.
• wp-settings-… and wp-settings-time-… remember display preferences on your profile and other account screens. They last 1 year.

Affiliates

• cpaff_device is set only for members of the affiliate programme when they sign in. It holds a random value (we store only a coded form of it) so that clicks on an affiliate’s own referral links are recognised and never credited to them. It lasts 400 days.

Referral cookie (only with your consent)

• cpaff_ref remembers which affiliate’s link brought you to the site, so the referral still counts on a later visit. It holds a random reference, not your personal details. It lasts 30 days.

We set the referral cookie only if you agree to it. We do not currently ask for that consent, so it is not set; a referral then counts only during the visit that follows the link.

Local storage

The pages visitors, customers and affiliates use do not store anything in your browser’s local storage or session storage.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary or sign-in cookies may stop parts of the site, such as signing in, working correctly.
