Affiliate programme terms

1. About these terms

1.1 The CloudPilar Affiliate Programme ("the programme") is run by Cloudpilar Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15273802), 23 Derwent Road, Bristol BS5 7SJ, United Kingdom ("we", "us").

1.2 These terms are an agreement between us and you, the affiliate. You accept them when you apply, and we record which version you accepted.

2. No commission is paid at present

2.1 No app currently pays affiliate commission, and we make no payouts. Taking part in the programme earns you nothing at present.

2.2 Being approved as an affiliate does not guarantee that you will ever earn anything.

2.3 Before any commission programme begins, we will publish the rates, the apps they apply to and the commission terms, once they have been separately approved. We will email you about them. You can earn commission only on purchases made after you have accepted those terms. Nothing you do before then, including clicks on or purchases through your links, will earn commission later.

2.4 We do not ask for, and you must not send us, bank details through the programme.

3. Applying

3.1 We accept applications only while applications are open on cloudpilar.com/affiliates. We may open or close applications at any time.

3.2 You must be 18 or over and give accurate details. You must confirm your email address within 7 days; unconfirmed applications are deleted.

3.3 A member of our team reviews every application by hand. We may approve or decline any application at our discretion, without giving reasons, and we will email you our decision. Until we approve it, your application is pending and you cannot create referral links.

3.4 One account per person or business. Our staff may join only with our written permission.

3.5 You must live in one of the countries listed on the application form.

4. Promoting our apps

4.1 You may promote the apps listed at cloudpilar.com/apps. You must:

• describe them accurately, using only the features, prices, platforms and availability shown on cloudpilar.com. An app marked "Coming soon" or "Beta" must not be described as generally available;
• clearly label your link as an affiliate link, for example with the words "Affiliate link";
• follow the rules of any platform you post on, and all applicable law, including advertising and consumer protection law.

4.2 You must not:

• make medical, health, safety or financial claims about any app. For example, BiteNice offers guidance only, and YEMIWO is not an emergency service;
• send unsolicited messages, or use spam, bots, automated clicks, misleading redirects or cookie stuffing;
• bid on CloudPilar or app names in paid search, or run paid advertising using them, without our written agreement;
• offer incentives for clicks, installs or purchases without our written agreement;
• suggest that you are CloudPilar, or that we endorse you.

5. Tracking

5.1 We record clicks on referral links on our server, as described in our privacy policy at cloudpilar.com/privacy. A referral cookie is set in a visitor's browser only with their consent.

5.2 To recognise your own clicks, we keep a security cookie in your browser when you sign in, and a pseudonymised record of the networks you sign in from. Clicks from your own browser are never credited, and clicks from networks you sign in from are checked by our team.

5.3 Our records decide which clicks are counted.

6. Your data

How we use your personal data is explained in our privacy policy at cloudpilar.com/privacy. We never share customers' or visitors' personal details with affiliates; your dashboard shows totals and statuses only.

7. Using our names and images

We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the app names, logos and screenshots shown on cloudpilar.com/apps, unchanged, only to promote those apps under these terms. You must stop using them if we ask, or when your account closes.

8. Suspension and closure

8.1 You may close your account at any time by emailing admin@cloudpilar.com.

8.2 We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if your promotion could harm our reputation, or if we close or change the programme. We will tell you by email.

9. Changes

We may change these terms or the apps in the programme, or end the programme, by giving you 14 days' notice by email. Terms that would let you earn commission take effect only once you accept them (section 2.3).

10. Liability

10.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10.2 Subject to that, as the programme is free and pays nothing, we are not liable to you for any loss arising from the programme, its suspension or its closure.

10.3 You are responsible for your own promotion and its compliance with the law, and you will compensate us for losses caused by your breach of section 4.

10.4 These terms do not create a partnership, employment or agency between us.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
